Ventilation in the premises provides a continuous supply of clean air and the removal of dirty air containing carbon dioxide.

Ventilation plays a very important role in dentistry: it provides the room with the microclimate necessary for dental treatment and prevents the formation of mold and the appearance of bacteria.

Our team "PlanDI" consists of design engineers, designers, planners, who are ready to help you implement the project at any time! We offer you full management from the project idea to construction and commissioning.

When ventilation is necessary

If your list of services includes implantology and maxillofacial surgery, it is necessary to install forced ventilation and create a block of rooms for a small operating room. Also, a ventilation system should be present in MRI and X-ray rooms. In other cases, if the license allows, you can use open windows and UV lamps to clean the air.

Where to save and where to pay?

Our team will be happy to help and find the most profitable options, here are some of them:

  1. If you need to install ventilation in a dental clinic, you shouldn’t do it only in 3 rooms of the hospital to save 50,000 rubles; it’s better to provide ventilation in all rooms and make your stay in the clinic more comfortable.
  2. Remember that the SES monitors the purity of the air emitted into the environment. Therefore, a photocatalytic filter is installed and exhaust ducts are found.
  3. We believe that it is better to give preference to the air flow into the X-ray room from the general ventilation system with the installation of check valves, this will save 250,000 rubles.

Requirements for ventilation of premises

The microclimate parameters of dental clinics are equal to those of any other medical institutions: ventilation must be autonomous; the cleanliness class greatly affects the degree of air purification; only hidden installation of air ducts is allowed, therefore the height of the ceilings before finishing work should be approximately 3 meters.

Requirements for ventilation of X-ray rooms

Please note that the air intake should be both at the floor and under the ceiling of the office in a 50 to 50 ratio, so the air duct from the hood must be lowered to the floor; air exchange rate: 3/4 times; a speed regulator and a photocatalytic filter on the hood are required to clean the air.

Requirements for ventilation of sterilization room

Mechanical supply ventilation is required. Since there is no division into septic and aseptic blocks in dentistry, the sterilization room has both an air supply and an exhaust.

Installation and design

There are no ready-made solutions for ventilation, so for the desired result, our team recommends drawing up a project that will help take into account the amount of materials and their cost. Also at this stage, air exchange calculations are performed, the cross-section of air ducts and diffusers is selected. After this, you can conclude an installation contract.

Please note that installation work begins with the purchase of equipment and air ducts. While they wait for the equipment to be manufactured for 4-6 weeks, the installation of the main wiring and air conditioners begins.
